Good morning students, families and staff!
Here is your Monday Morning message from Ms. Kasner and Ms. Page.
Happy week 4 of Phase 3 Distance Learning. This week is Staff Appreciation week! We hope you are able to find some time to show some extra appreciation to your teachers this week. Please check out our special video message BELOW.
The updates for this week are as follows:

5th Grade promotion will take place Monday, June 1st @ 10:00 am via Zoom. The ceremony will include special slideshows and a virtual celebration with classmates. Zoom links and more information will be sent soon.
March and April Student-of-The-Month Recipients: Please *CLICK HERE* to see all the names of the students recognized by their teachers for March and April. Students should receive a digital certificate from their teacher this week.
Report Cards: Students in grades TK through 5th will be receiving progress reports for the school year. Classroom teachers will provide feedback on students’ progress in the “comments only” of the report card. Student academic growth and performance indicators will not be recorded on this last report card but comments will provide a cumulative report on student progress.
Round 2 of Kinder-2nd Grade Print-Based Materials are available for May. Materials will be mailed to students’ homes this week. *CLICK HERE* for the folder if you are interested in learning materials in addition to what your classroom teachers are offering your child.
Health & Wellness tips from this awesome article from PBS about “Parenting During Coronavirus.” Our favorite tip: “I’ve never parented through a pandemic before, but I do know that when everything is crazy on the outside, children need love on the inside. The everyday stories, songs and routines you share are exactly the right stuff to help them feel safe, secure and loved. So, drop that load of expectations and take a deep breath. From one friend to another: You are enough.”
Get your and your kids’ bodies moving and heart rates up to burn off stress. Engage in 60 minutes of physical activity every day. It doesn’t have to be all at one time. Here are some ideas: have a dance party, do 35 jumping jacks here and there, bedtime yoga, 10 pushups, double dutch jump rope – the list can go on and on. Check out California Surgeon General, Dr. Nadine Burke Harris’ Playbooks for managing stress during COVID 19.
Please see the info at the bottom of Ms. Kasner’s Monday Morning Message email (sent today) for links and information from our teachers: art, garden, library, computer, PE and music.
Join Us at our Virtual Office Hours on Thursdays, 11:00a – 12:00p (Zoom details sent by email).
Sending you all hugs and love,
Ms. Kasner and Ms. Page
